Event Description
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1044 is located at 508 Elm Street, Biddeford, Maine. Our founding principle is “Never Again Will One Generation of Veterans Abandon Another” Meetings are held the first Sunday of each month. Meetings start at 1:30 (13:30). We received our charter in October of 2010 starting with 25 members. Today we have over 130 members from all over the State of Maine Starting on Monday October 9,2017 we will offer an R & R type center where veterans from ALL eras can come down and just get away from the daily grind of life. At the center we will have available for the veterans a place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and to meet other veterans. Or if they prefer sit and watch TV, read a book. We will have several tables set up if the veteran wished to play checkers, chess and or cribbage. Veterans benefit information is always available. We will have a Veterans Service Officer available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday or by appointment.
